My first clock was a grandfather clock I made from a kit with my dad back in the early 90's. It was quite different from the small clocks I make today, but is now in my living room as a reminder of where I started with clocks. I made my first desk clock back in 2001 so I could have something I had made on my desk at my regular job as a mechanical engineer. Since then, I have made a variety of clocks from mantel clocks to small desk clocks.
The clocks we make now are constructed of various hardwoods from worldwide sources. Smaller clocks are finished with sealer and a shellac based topcoat followed by a layer of hard carnauba wax. Larger clocks are finished with Danish oil or hand rubbed polyurethane.
